The individual members of viibra are all esteemed performers, composers, and educators working with improvisation and diverse approaches in music making, with active practices within Reykjavík's vibrant creative scene. Their self-titled first album exemplifies their collective creative prowess and invites friends and collaborators along for the journey.

]]> MODELS OF DURATION is a follow-up to 2017’s Solo Contra on International Anthem Recordings. This material was solidified during a year spent in ISSUE Project Room’s cavernous 22 Boerum Place in Brooklyn, then recorded with Randall Dunn at Circular Ruin Studios.

This record is entirely acoustic. There are no instrument preparations or added sounds. No overdubs. This is one contrabass clarinet. Randall and I set out to make an immersive listening experience – to be inside the instrument.

I ask that you experience this album on an optimum listening system. Listen loudly.
I would not recommend listening to this album if you are in a hurried state.
When you have the time and space – please enjoy.
