Alice Sara Ott

Berlin, 6 March 2026. Alice Sara Ott’s latest Deutsche Grammophon album is out now, digitally, on CD and on vinyl (2 LPs). Jóhann Jóhannsson – Piano Works presents a collection of world premiere recordings of music by Jóhann Jóhannsson. The album follows on from the success of the two EPs (Film Themes and From Englabörn) issued in late 2025, featuring seven of the album’s tracks. Recorded in the late composer’s native Iceland, the 30-track album draws on an edition of solo piano transcriptions of his works recently published by Faber Music. These span the composer’s career, from studio albums such as Englabörn and Orphée to the pioneering scores he wrote for documentaries or feature films such as Copenhagen Dreams, Personal Effects and the Golden-Globe-winning The Theory of Everything.

The self-titled LP by Men I Trust, released in 2014, marks the debut album of the Canadian indie-pop band. This project establishes the foundation for their signature dreamy, ethereal sound. Blending elements of jazz, electronic, and soft indie pop, the album delivers an atmospheric listening experience with smooth bass lines, subtle percussion, and melodic guitar riffs. The record features a mix of instrumental tracks and vocal performances, showcasing the band’s versatility and musicianship. Its introspective tone and carefully layered compositions foreshadow the more vocal-centric direction explored in later albums. This release captures the essence of the band’s beginnings, characterized by experimentation and raw creativity. Fans of chill, groove-heavy music with a nostalgic touch will find this album a captivating introduction to Men I Trust’s discography.
