Of Monsters and Men’s “Little Talks” speaks volumes, despite its misleading title. It’s a fun-filled party of a song, with tooting horns, acoustics, and drum smashing that forms a rager in your ears. The back and forth conversation of sweet nothings and somethings between the duo throughout the song finishes with each bold chorus yelling, “LISTEN TO A WORD I SAY! HEY!” It reminds me of the emotionally lovable hit, “Home” by Edward Sharpe and Magnetic Zeros. I’m sure I’m not the first to make the comparison.
This is a handmade CDr slipcase made by the band itself early in their career. Artwork by Ragnar Þórhallsson and features early recordings of “Little Talks” and “From Finner”.
