Rokk í Reykjavík LP was first released in 1982, shortly after the film premiered the same year.

It was originally issued as a double LP by Gramm Records, featuring performances by many of Iceland’s emerging punk and new wave bands of the early 1980s — including Tappi Tíkarrass, Purrkur Pillnikk, Þeyr, Fræbbblarnir, Egó, and others.

It’s more than an album, Rokk í Reykjavík is a document of a revolution.
Recorded at the height of Iceland’s underground uprising, it remains a cornerstone of our modern sound.
